the efficiency
the impedience
the bandwidth?
Follow Ups:
The sub is rated at 104 dB. The bottom 6db point is 35Hz and the rolloff is 12 db /oct. The bottom end can be EQ'ed somewhat to give good response down to 20Hz. The upper response end is close to 200Hz, but typically, I recommend rolling it off at 80-100 Hz with a 4th order filter to mate with a midbass horn. The impedance is 4 ohms.In addition the size is 31"wide, 26" deep, and 6' high. The weight is 250 #.
How's your Fostex tweeters working out?
They just arrived the other day. I'm still in the building stages and waiting for the other sub and x-overs.
perhaps one might look at Dr. Edgar's "Monolith", scale it "a bit" to fit Seismic's bulk and run some analysis using David McBean's powerful free software to get an approximate idea?I'll guess ~105dB from 30Hz up (?) against wall using AJ and not sure now it fits. Monolith in my room ran flat to 40Hz with a Dayton Eminence.
Volvotreter's dowload sectionMcBean's HORNRESP
rough sim input on Monolith:
l=2.2M; AT=387 sq.cm.m h=40, b=86.36, Vfc=1, Vrc=56, main box size ~12.7CF so horn volume's probably close to 10CF.AJ describes the following volumes to get from the throat to the mouth n 2.2M path - perhaps the path is a bit different due to down-firing and side-exhaust (?)
