Wisconsin and Georgia? Hey dere y'all. ;-)What will they do when he wants to go walleye fishing and she wants to go for bass?
And in WI you can fish for both bass or walleye. The WI river has a great small mouth bass fishery. So many lakes rivers etc if you like to fish, WI is a good place but like most spots in US, water can have mercury contamination and most large fish are only safe to eat in small amounts. The sad part is none cares that almost all wild fish in US are contaminated with mercury.
FWIW, an avid fisherman friend of mine in MI claims that the high mercury measurements come from putting the whole fish in a blender--a method few use, except those luck Bass-O-Matic owners. He claims that most of the contaminants are in the liver, kidneys, etc., and eating the meat is quite safe. I don't know that for a fact, just passing along what I heard.
Congrats on the wedding!
Best,
