my old age means things get accidently torn, pop & soup spilt on vintage magazineshere's whats left and what could stand to try to repair of a CTS ad from Audio December 1963 and remember seeing it when new.
one form of this woofer popped up in Ampeg amps and Karlson's "x15" and probably went into other products
here's Eminence's page on the late Bob Gualt

Thanks for posting that, Freddyi.
Wow, cool!I bought a bunch of 15’s like that in 1970 when I worked at a TV store part time ( senior in Highschool).
I bought a woofer version and a guitar version I used in some PA speakers for “the band”, funny, I have no idea at all where any of these are now..
I also got a 12w19p 12inch woofer they had, nice 19 oz alnico magnet, low fs cool stuff.
Made a big box with 1 inch plywood, 4 of the 12’s and a 511 in each, real heavy, didn’t sound bad, had an unusually low cutoff for the day. I think I still have some of the magnet assemblies left somewhere in the garage.
I remember these drivers too because I got pulled over by the cops on the way home, had my 64 Chevy loaded to the max with boxes of drivers.
Ahh the olden days.
Nice link to L. Welk too, used to watch that when I was a kid.
Best,
in my 1974 Cornwalls.
all the best,
mrh
It also looks a lot like what's in my Peavey SP1s, which are essentially a La Scala knock-off.Freddyi, have you tried one of these in your FH-1 horn, or just Peavey Black Widows?
This is also the K-33 in the Klipschorn....I think?
