HiHave you measured them? Do you know whereabouts exactly it's peaking?
I have 2441s on tractrix horns (crossed in at 700Hz) that peak between 4.5k and 5.5k with a sharp peak at 5kHz. This peak makes them unlistenable. I was thinking of rolling them off early, but now I might try a notch filter. I wanted to avoid farting around with too many filters as I have a minimalist approach (I use line level 12db LC crossovers) in my system.

Hi Doug ,
No measuring mic at present so I'm doing it by ear . Eventually I want to go active but at the rate I'm going with other commitments/projects and work it's years off ! The below link may be of interest to you .cheers
There is an auction on ebay I was watching. It is for a BSS FDS-360 crossover in London (Item number: 200078834512). It is about 51 pounds with 20 hours to go. It is an older unit but BSS was considered top notch in its day. I have no idea what they are worth now.I just scored a TDM for 50 bucks so I have no interest in the BSS unit now. I have been using a cheap crossover (ART) and find it handy and not too objectionable.....better than I imagined.
Hi ,
Stop that ! Thats that steenkeen solid state stuff ;) I'm very short on space , a few more boxes may push the WAF over the edge . I should really lose the TV and get one of those flat screen things or just lose the TV ;) Whatever , I'm going to nail this and get the Tads sounding sweet with passives for the time being .cheers
