If so, what is the recommended size? Every article tells me to put them in vented box or horn or other open-box system. i believe it's to bring out more low frequency power. But i listen to female vocals with a few other instruments. Something in the likes of Diana Krall, Emi Fujita, Astrud Gilberto..... And also piano. Tracks with natural bass sound. Nothing head-banging. As long as the bass line is there to support the rest.

.......but the cost of making a horn cabinet for my existing 206 is too high for me to justify. Moreover, i can get some help from a friend who makes wardrobe and cabinet. It's not a problem for him to produce a steady box, but not the intricate horn.i really like the clear and sweet mid-range of this driver, and the speed of its respond. i'm quite satisfied with what i hear with a reflex box about HWD 20"x10"x8" salvaged from a pair of dead Jordan Watts. Just hope to find a recommendation on a sealed box size to "maximise" its limited bass. And i read about a sealed box being a more forgiving design.
i.e., as big a sealed box as you (or your spouse, if applicable) can stomach having in the room. Guess you need two, for stereo.
Is there some dimension i can take reference from? My limited understanding about Infinite Baffle is about cutting all sound made by the -ve excursion of the driver, thereby letting only what's projected to the front audible. If that's the case, then size is the only design consideration, in that it just need to be as big as it can fit into the room or in my wife's eyes, ;p ;p ;p
I understand some have built Matrin King style mass-loaded trans-
mission-line cabs with allegedly nice results. I agree with other
posters here, use 207's if you must go the sealed or bass-reflex
route. The Q-numbers are better for the 207 in such an enclosure,
but the lowish x-max figure will still limit your bass/power-
handling somewhat. Also: Bob Brines sells a sweet looking
TL cab for the FE167 with allegedly very nice bass extension.
He also offers kits and plans for this model --last time I
checked anyhow. This cab and the FE167 might be a hot ticket.Good luck,
There's a pair of FE207E's, in mint condition, for sale in the Asylum classifieds right now!
Use a fe207e in a BR [bass reflex] cabinet. Not hard to use a port and fe207e is designed for this fe206e is more for horn loading. You will get poor result slaping a fe206e in a AS[air suspention] or sealed box.
