Is your email here current? Last time I tried, it was bounced back.
Hi Rob,My new email is kurt_chang at amat dot com.
if not, I'll have a meeting here. you and tom are due for some snow and cold weather i believe. hopefully some of us here will make it to tom danley's talk tomorrow at 5300 w touhy, 7:30 pm
Hi Mats,I considered digging a basement, but the concrete slab supporting the house seems to be tough to dig through. ;-) Nevertheless, not having a basement might not be a problem, as I am going really small now, using 2" tweeters and 3" woofers. The days of eight 18" woofers are gone.
I think I am already softened by the mild weather in the Bay Area. It's already hard to recall how I managed to go through the long months of the Chicago winters. You need to come over here to take a break from the cold.
Stay warm,
My cousin used to work for a company here in Chicago that would dig out basements by jacking the house up. It's not cheap but it can done.I really don't know how I could live without a basement. I've always had one and that's where all the "stuff" goes. :)
Mats thrives on the cold. Like Guthram.

Whoa! Paul and I were just talking about you. I'll call tomorrow.
Sounds like you switched job, did you move too?I've been lurking the forum but haven't seen or heard from anyone in a while.
No meetings for quite a long time too.
Hi Alfredo,I switched job and moved to San Jose, California. The long harsh cold dark winter of Chicago is now a distant memory. ;-) I surely miss all the friends in Illiois though. Also, I miss the basement of my old house in Bolingbrook. The new house in CA does not have a basement, and I only have space for one pair of speakers. Now that I no longer have room for experimental speaker projects, perhaps it is time to find a new hobby.
Let me know if you ever come to the Bay Area.
Best,
