To my eyes it looks great--what do you think?
Best,
Follow Ups:
For that price you could get 4 of these and be MUCH better off.
1) More displacement (needed for OB)
2) Higher Q (needed for OB)
3) Higher Fs (if Fs is way below the baffle cutoff the Q is pi**ed into the wind)
Hi Hitsware,I sincerely appreciate your reply, and checked out the Goldwood with great interest.
The price is certainly right (I love cheap), but, plugging it into Xlbaffle.xls , the high Qes of 2.69 creates a big peak below 80Hz, peaking at +7dB at 30Hz, down 10dB at 20Hz. I'm concerned that that peak represents a big resonance, with the corresponding resonant sound--just the sort of thing I'm hoping to avoid by going open baffle.
This is all novice conjecture on my part, so all comments appreciated.
Thanks again!
The 'hump' can compensate for the baffle HP function
.....
Yes .... Using hi-Q drivers can sorta do onenoteness
As do BR, TQWT, MLTL, et.al......
BUT ! Sound better to me ..
One hump instead of 2 humps trying to become 1
