Which 12" or 15" woofers are 100db efficient or more. Please, pretty please ...........
Follow Ups:
For a single driver, your choices are:a 100dB/watt direct radiator driver that has a super-low Qts, and gives little response below 100Hz.
Or something in a horn, that gives 100dB / watt, in your room.
If it doesn't have to be ONE driver, a 2*2 array of relatively cheap, middlingly efficient, middling Qts drivers (as direct radiators) will give you lower bass than a single high Qts jobbie, and a total sensitivity of 100dB ...and it's a doddle to build: just make a box, then multiply by four.
Thank you everyone for the help. This forum is great........
Unless in a horn, these kind of speakers have no bass.See figure 5.
Eminence, B&C and Seleunium have such models. You can go through the woofers available at the Parts Express website and find them.
JBL E-130 105 db/watt
At 2Khz, the mid-band efficiency is 8.7%, or 101.4dBrolls below 200hz unless in a big horn.
See figure 5.
