I am more concerned about deleterious sonic effects of a big cap than appearance. Unfortunately the electronic crossover does cause pops when powering up or down. It can be avoided by proper turn on sequence, but I can't always control that (other people use the stereo.)

Parallel a small and large value.
Hi ,
Have you considered a parallel feed valve amp ?cheers
Interesting idea. Put the cap where the impedance is much higher and hence smaller. I haven't used parafeed before because the cap is still too big, IMO. I try to arrange my amps to use smaller than 0.1uf coupling caps where necessary at all.I'm using a borrowed SE 300B amp and electronic crossover at the moment, so I suppose I shouldn't worry too much about it until I get around to re-building my own.
Hi ,
Eventually when I can find the space I'll be trying a parafeed amp for my comp drivers . For 350Hz your parafeed cap is going to be a low value . It may be difficult to optomise but you should be able to implement a 2nd order filter within the amp . You could easily get away with using toroidal mains transformers in parafeed , it would make a cheap project ;)cheers
