Hi All,I want to run some full range drivers crossed over to woofers. To keep efficiency up I want to use a passive line lever crossover ( PLLXO) .
I think I have a pretty good handle on the theory, but can you help me with pointers to specific designs and, especially, components? In particular, I haven't found the sort of low DC/high L audio inductors that seem appropriate for this use--I'm thinking something like 1H.
Suggestions for designs, design resources, specific inductors and inductor suppliers? Anything else I should consider?
Thanks for any help.

For some reason, people are not much practised in making line-level filters, although it is not too difficult. At line-level impedances, 10K+ typically, inductors become problematic so the most straightforward method is to use all capacitors and multiple stages if you want steep slopes. If you really want to use inductors -- for a second-order lowpass for example -- you can get some at steinmusic.de for a few bucks. In the US I'd try asking Jack Elliano or maybe look through the Sowter or Lundahl catalog. For deep-pocketed builders you can talk to Serge Schmidlin of Audioconsulting.
Hi Dr Deville and Dominic,This is one way to get around the low DC/high L audio inductors, using caps only but I'm not sure if this is what you want(see PLLXO link). I know old mixing desks and other types of filters used these type of inductors but not sure where you would get them now.
