This speaker is not hot on the top end. It is a little "voicey" as shown by the curves. The compression driver is like a junior version of a JBL 2410. I bought a little Aura 2" widerange, ( poor man’s Olson test sphere)mounted it in a cookie jar, measured it with fancy stuff at work to insure mic calibration is on target. those Panasonic capsules can change with time.
(No offense freddyi ! )

If you buy the HiVi Research B3S ( sorry- not the Aura ), and a cookie jar,
I will provide ascii file of ACO calibrated mic and
HiVi Research B3S , then you can fool with your mic's data stream and correct errors.
I use the cookie jar several times a year to be sure the cheap mic is still ok.My driver is not an Aura but a HiVi Research B3S is about $14.00
You also have an accurate SPL level at all times.
thanks - can't locate cookie jar on-line and driver is on back order at partsexpress. cheap behringer mic is pretty good - maybe will get a new one, another preamp - someone twiddled the treble a bit on my mixer-preamp off center causing C190 to show estra 3dB rise
Panasoinic part number WM063T "Microphone" ( that is a zero)
thanks Bill - is that part better than whats supplied in ECM8000--ECM-999, etc?do you think Sielers (sp?) D130 half-horn per dimensions figured for one mouth version is a worthwhile project?
I pulled C190's driver out - very nice fit. t-huts, etc - no more slo-boat to china - haha
maybe more psersictive although not right - a klh17 in normal position (with grill) vs Insignia (no grille) and C190this is 24" off cluttered floor, pretty far from any walls - I like outdoors better :^)
where was C190 and mic put for that graph of first 100 samples?
still got sore throat..
my quickie graph of C190 was done in middle of room and 52" back with C190 and Insignia ~24" off floor (sitting on a Heresy - see- they're good for something) and well away from any walls - in that context see,ed a "wee tiny bit hot" ? also Insignia might be viewed as like running a loudness buttonwhy do you think I got that "rise"?
My friend bdzang came up with cookie jar- very clever.
He even bought it for me- but there were no cookis- the jerk.
They were delicious. Decadent chocolate chip cookies.
Don't drop it Bill, I dropped mine and I could still find pieces of ceramic days later.
