I used to hang here and read most every day. Now, once a week is enough to catch up.
I went looking through both Elusive Disc, and Acoustic Sounds for new SACD's and I'm shocked... lowest average price is $20, then the rest are $25 and $40.
I had hopes and spent alot of money in this format.. but, the past year I have pretty much concentrated on vinyl for the lack of software coming out in SACD.
What does it take to get the music industry to wake up? Or, are they charging the most they can because they see that the days are numbered?
Very frustrating...

Joel,
That is uplifting news! A couple of those sites are new to me, like I said, I haven't boughten too many SACD's during the past year or so.. mostly vinyl, hopefully that will change.
I invested about $700 in spare parts last month for my SCD-1, and I wanted to get it the VSE +5 mods.. so, I guess I will check out those sites and help out the cause.. (and my collection :) ).Have a great evening!
Rick, May I ask what spare parts you bought for $700? I've the 777es and have the VSE +5 mod done for about a year and love the improvement over the stock. I bought the spindle motor and laser assembly last month and have the sled motor on order.
