i dont think in terms of the other hemisphere or accross the pond either. people here make that mistook and even paint it into signs.in the march tas, p65, someone had printed "theaRter"!! i call it creeping illiteracy. dont tell me THAT is correct please.

someone corrected me for saying "spelt" instead of "spelled" a few weeks ago, and we were both correct in our respective locales :-)*** "theaRter" ***
we say "theatre", which rhymes with "centre"
Microsoft didn't change the spelling of "Windows Media Center Edition" when it was launched in Australia, which raised a few eyebrows, and more than a few snide remarks in newspapers.
It's when someone has finally made a decision and come down on one side of the fence or the other.
