In Reply to: CONGRATS to Michael Bishop on his Grammy tonight!!! posted by ted_b on February 11, 2007 at 19:07:30:
Thank you, everyone! It was a thrill and honor to represent such a great set of performances by the Paavo Jarvi & the Cincinnati Symphony. Without their magnificient contribution, I'd have little to do.The Grammy was for Best Engineered Classical Recording. I think only the CD is considered. If the Academy voting membership thought the CD was worthy, just wait 'til they hear the SACD, especially in surround!
Thanks again to all at Hi-Rez Hi-Way for the support and words of encouragment!
Best Regards,

True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country.
Thank you for bringing so much more of the music to us listening at home through your recordings. They allow the performances to come back to life in a powerful, visceral and vivid way. That is the ultimate victory which the award signifies.
It must be very nice to do such good work of long lasting value.
Good recordings like yours are so important for the art of music, not only for us, but for comming generations.
We can never know how Mozarts music was played i his lifetime.
i know it takes more than a set of ears and gear to get a recording right, and you have the talent. We are truly blessed to have people like you keep our audio heritage.
