..the SRV is a problem (well nothing that 100 dollars and some luck on ebay can't solve :-), but the others should be easily acquired via cdpacific (19 for the 5x5 Monk and 13 for the SNS and the Mingus) or you can try deepdiscountcd.com for good deals (though they do not have these discs)These all sound excellent btw - see my reviews of them on sacd.net

On the Obi we see 3,675 yen which is US$30.81, so $39.99 is pretty good.As Joel says, that's a hard one to get - the original US Sony/Epic release (ES 65871) sold out ages ago.

why the Japanese would need to REMASTER it from the ananlogue tapes; they probably just used an SACD for their master; why not? But then I said that about my much beloved Andromeda Heights from Prefab Sprout, and Lo and Behold, it was an entire new mastering (and 10 times better, needless to say when the Japanese are involved in audio).
I don't think so. They used the same DSD source as the domestic SACD release. I'm sure you'll love it.

Charles Kerault? Christine Keeler? Cecilio and Kapono?
Who was the gentleman involved? No cheating now. ;-)
.
Great choices indeed. I'm spinning Strait, No Chaser right now. Blue Trane is another classic not to be missed. Sure would be nice to have my whole collection on SACD. Have a safe New Year's Eve.
