Tower records for some reason or another had scores of these at 70% off. There was no indication on the packaging that it was sacd, but allmusic only lists one release for this title. At that price I should probably just buy it and see, but can anyone shed any light on this title?
Follow Ups:
The Willy Porter SACD was a reissue of the earlier self-titled album by the artist. The SACD edition catalog number is Six Degrees Records 657036-1115-2 and it has a Deluxe Super Jewel Box with the rounded corners. That should help identify it in case the usual grey SACD sticker is not on the front of the disc.
Ted White's surround mix on this disc is very tasteful and enjoyable. Recommended!Top o' the season to you Brian!
Graemme,Holiday greetings to you as well !
Yes, the Willy Porter SACD was nicely done. The Surround Sound mix fits the music.
thanks, no super jewel, so it's just the regular cd version I saw at Tower.
What is the title of the recording? Willy's latest is called Available Light, and it is not a SACD. His previous recording was Live High Wire and it is not a SACD.
as far as I know, it's the only one of his issued on sacd
