I think your premise is untrue. There are many excellent 3channel, 5channel and, of course, single channel amps for multichannel operation. And from the usual suspects, as well.

I had great time reading your reviews.It seems like mch preamps that you describe are processor type, i.e. they convert DSD to 24/98 and then process it digitally for loudness, balance, tilt, and speaker placement.
Are there fully analog preamps with analog mch inputs that don't do digital processing?

I agree with Kal.In addition, there are inexpensive monoblocks specifically designed "small" for multi-amp use. I use five Outlaw M200's.
