Layla = Must Have
461 = Should Have
Slowhand = Why Have
Follow Ups:
I have all three. I'm a big fan of "461" as that album brings back very fond memories, and I was delighted to get that on SACD.I must have Layla on 4 or 5 LPs and CD, and I never thought the sound was very good. But the SACD surprised me. Quite excellent. Of course it's a great set - but now it sounds wonderful too.
The other one is fairly weak material except for a couple of songs, and even those are not that great. No complaints about the sound though.
At $13.99 from CD Universe, I am delighted to see SACD releases like this.
Regards,
Geoff
The Polydor RBCD has as track 2 'Better Make It Throught Today'. A song that is not featured on the SA-CD at all. AMG also does not list this track on any of its entries. I wonder whether this was on the original LP (don't think so, but don't have the vinyl) or whether it was something the 811697-2 RBCD just added. 461 has ten tracks, no ?
released as a track on EC's next studio album "There's One In Every
Crowd" from 1975. Not sure why Polydor added it to later RBCD releases
of '461.' It's on my MoFi version of '461' released in 1993.
