... is perhaps a truism.
Have you heard Decoder Ring?
They are my comers.
But really every day I can have a new best in class, and I don't think I am the only person like this.
Follow Ups:
when you love music as much as we do....:-)
Cheers,
I'll to check out Decoder Ring. Cool name....
if you don't know where you come from, then you don't know where to go, we can all try to get there if we reach
I am just playing the new Decoder Ring (Fractions) and I just find it so mmm energising... life affirming... you know that sound that Joy Division were approaching and New Order have sometimes which probably comes originally from Neu of what in a poetic mood I might call cosmic surfing.... (I get like that sometimes!) well DR can do that as well.
But don't get to think they are less than the sum of their influences. I first heard this band on the soundtrack of the film Somersault and I think they are really quite something.
THere is a website... www.decoderrring.com.au which I haven't visited, but bthat might have some music I guess.
Check them out.
Hi DaveJust read a review in Scene - Decoder Ring sounds like something special. I going to check them out!
... are playing 2 nights at The Globe in Brunswick Street, I think its the 11th and 12th Novmber.
Hmmm, I thought the Globe had lost their live music license - but I could be wrong. Violation of noise restrictions maybe?I have done enough ranting for one week, so will not start on the noise restricion issues in Brisbane. I probably do not have enough understanding of the situation to comment in any case.
The shows are listed on the Decoder Ring website but I have not heard anything else about them.
