Sounds great - a few pre-performance ales sounds a good idea. I'm in.
Follow Ups:
Since its a long while tilll December, maybe there is some other musical shindig we could all agreee on...
Maybe!!
THe Powwrhouse suits me... I live directly across the park from there.
If I did not have a nutritional biochem exam (for which I am under-prepared) the next day, I would definitely be heading to the Powerhouse to hear/see Topology + Misinterpretato this Sunday. Damn, the multicultural festival is also on earlier that day – so I miss the Go-Betweens, amongst others. Sometimes study commitments give me the... After Monday, study eases off ever so slightly until early November when things will get very, very ugly for a month. So, anything interesting happening during October? I am up for it!
Albeit by a dentist.
2 1/2 hours with 2 teeth that were suffering resorbtion pulled and a bone graft to my jaw so that I can have an implant.
2 types of antibiotics means no (supposedly) alcohol and my jaws aches like... like.... a well, like a jaw that has had 2 1/2 hours work on it!
So I may miss Sunday as well, although I am going to try and feel up to it.
I'll take an exam over that kind of pain 'most any time.I do not really understand the zero alcohol whilst on antibiotics thing, though I have not yet started my pharmacology subjects. I am guessing it could be a standard precaution but a drink of two should not cause too many problems with most types - I could be wrong (often am!).
Anyhow, I hope you start to feel a better and can get out on Sunday.
There is always the alcohol as a diuretic thing... a few drinks could reduce the amount of time an antibiotic remained in your system. In this age when substances are added to antibiotics to help them stay in your system a little longer I can understand why drinking is not advised. A couple should not cause problems or adverse effects tho.
The chemist I bought them from says its just a possible stomach upset and judging from the "couple" I had last night its not much of that!
I wanted to go and see Glen Tilbrook tonight at St Paul's Tavern especially as I did a few tours with Squeeze back at the end of the 70s but I don't think I feel up to it in the slightest.
Of course I have my new amp to play with and the new Decoder Ring CD which sounds very good on first play... especially on new amp etc etc.
So I think the smart money is on a lot or episodes of Law And Order and a lot of soccer.
Hopefully next weekend will look as good for music.
Hi DaveToo bad you could not make it out last night. tho it sounds as if you are utilising your enforced rest time well.
Thanks, I am feeling much better today.
My dentist called to see how I was and said its usual for the sweling to increase for 2 days and then to go down which is exactly how it has been.
