I've seen a band on TV twice and have not been able to get their name. They have a fast-paced country sound with hip-hop or light rap. I'm not a fan of any of these types of music but these guys were good.I would appreciate it if anyone can identify them as I'd like to explore them further. I apologize in advance if they are a well known recent pop group -- I don't listen to very much modern pop.
Follow Ups:
by "Big and Rich". Check out the "Cowboy Troy" CD "Loco Motive". The two best songs are the ones with Big and Rich and are the songs that I heard previously.
last week. Th season opener of Las Vegas. These guys were playing while some bad guys robbed the casino. They were playing some pretty nice music. I would like to know who they were and check them out. Perhaps this is the band you mean?
I saw them on another TV show as well. Neither time I caught the name of the band.Another poster below mentioned that the band is possibly "Big and Rich". Time to go to Amazon and listen to music clips.
I attended a Steve Miller Band concert in Phoenix almost a year ago... During its performance of "Fly Like an Eagle," the keyboard player actually broke out into this rap rendition of the music. The one thing I'll never forget was how many in the crowd reacted with "boos" and "hisses".... I think the keyboardist wanted to introduce the genre to the audience, but didn't expect such a cold reaction to it.If this particular "live" version is released on a CD, you may have some rap done by a classic rock artist, albeit not pure country. (SMB kind of does some "borderline" country.)
certain it wasn't them. However, I didn't know they've added rap to their sound.
"However, I didn't know they've added rap to their sound."It was just "Fly Like an Eagle"... They did not do rap with anything else.
Is that Big and Rich perhaps? I think those are the popular country folks with the rap guy on board.
like the band I saw! Too bad Amazon does not have music clips for them.
nt
Well country plus rap, that would make their music.....
