Anybody buy it yet?I heard a couple of songs briefly at Hear Music.
Hope that it's better than the last one: even though the New Order kids were on it, - I still was kind of blah about it....
Cheers
Follow Ups:
Come With Us is better (much better, IMO) than Push the Button.Too bad.
Surrender is still the best.
If you're looking for something new that thumps, try DJ Baby Anne's "Mixtress". If you like that style (Miami Break Beats), get her other albums, and also DJ Icey's (except "Different Day"; it's trance garbage).
didn't like enough to buy it.I picked up the new Truby Trio instead.
Like most chem bros albums there's one or two good 'uns & the rest is not so hot.
The search continues.
Their first record is still my favorite. I didn't much care for Dig your Own Hole. Can't ever go back I guess. But if they make another recording with teh sensibilities of E.P.D., - then I'm on the bus....
Cheers,
Second that. Very organic sound on that album. It also had songs that you could play at all time of the night. You had your get psyched to go out songs, your club songs, your coming down song, your waking up next to someone song, and your ride home song.
Truby Trio sounds interesting, - and I have very limited experience with them. How housey are they compared to downtempo sounding? Are any of the New Order folks on the new Chemical Brothers, - just curious, - not that Bernard's contributions to the last Chemical Bros. recording were that interesting...
I was more impressed with Peter Hook on Hybrid and the guests on the UNKLE CD..
Thanks again,
*How housey are they compared to downtempo sounding?*It's mixture of both. Acid jazzy and few funky beats thrown in.
