i posted on the hi freq forum but not a lot of replies, and saw the one on audiogon, so try here. my research shows the consurmer reports says the air cleaners that deliberately produce ozone are toxic. The question is if Acapella removes the ozone, as it claims, in its chamber.
but it is only a claim. cant find anyone who can confirm.can any give me a LINK or uses and has researched this. convinced it is the best tweeter, but not want to forfeit health if ozone coming out.
if can't find confirmation, then will skip it for another option. but thot try one last time. thx for any help

The original ones produced ozone, but they were able to modify it at least ten years ago so that it no longer produces any significant ozone. It's also an amazing tweeter!
i can't find evidence of them changing the tweeter or any measurements of emission. can u pt me to it? or is this all anecdotal? thx much
I don't have a link, but why don't you contact Acapella, they are accessible and like to talk about their tweeter.I have been in rooms with their tweeters for hours on end and smelled no ozone. They claim that a very small amount of ozone does still get produced, but I have never smelled it from them and I have put my nose right up the horn and not smelled it.
I seem to remember that they use Platimum as a catalyst to prevent or change the ozone to O2?
here is some info from a diy site.
That tweeter was so bright it was burning my ears!!Heh, heh.
