Maybe you could tell us. In spite of all the flack Bose takes, they do hold some incredible patents, and have done plenty of custom work for Universal Studios, Disney and others. As for me, I doubt that I will ever get into a car with the expectation I will get the same kind of sound I get from my home system.
Follow Ups:
With extensive and expensive body work etc I have managed to install a Wilson Sophia-based SS system in my Hummer Limo. Sounds as good as my dedicated listening room system plus it does 5mpg. I highly recommend it.
and with tires wider than a VW bug the other day. Very practical in SoCal.
YEs, Ive been thinking about combining two Humms or three kind of left/right as well as length wise to get a better soundstage. In it's conceptual beginning stages right now, but I have high hopes.
Just get a big trailer and a generator, and tow a live band behind you everywhere you go.
That would work. I once did that, in fact, with the Eagles. It was great. For a week. Then I wanted to hear something else besides Hotel California. The dudes were disappointed. Plus they felt I should be paying not only them for their music but the groupies etc. So after that, I decided a really good car stereo--no matter how expensive--was the way to go!
Stevie Nicks with him? That would have been expensive.
About a close as anyone can get, until you start driving then road noise kind makes you turn the volume up & up.
