I'm anxiously awaiting these. I bought a pair of EPI 150 (Winslow's own company) back in high school circa 1972. They were great speakers and I kept them until my sophmore year in college when they were stolen from my car as I was packing up to go home for summer. While I had the best system in my dorm, the campus winner was a dude that had Dahlquist DQ-10 driven by Phase Linear 700 amp and pre-amp with a monster Empire t-table. A rich kid from Wincester.
Follow Ups:
I always liked EPI speakers. When I was at University of Virginia in the mid - 70s the student with the best stereo was a cat who had 4 EPI 400s powered by a Sony pre- and power amp and an Empire turntable. Quite an impressive rig, and one that easily overpowered his small apartment living room!
...out of business, or at least not taking any new orders. Please provide current contact info.
I spoke with Winslow before ordering. The company is still in operation, albeit as a hobby. Winslow makes his living as a consultant now. He doesn't want to go thru the hassles of opening a full-scale production facility/distribution network at this time, so the Silent Speaker will remain direct sales only.
