Has anyone been in contact with Ken lately? I have been trying to reach him for the last few weeks.
Follow Ups:
I had trouble with this man. I made a comment that he had recommended Neat speakers on his comments on this site, yet his name also appeared on the Neat website at some point as some sort of collaborator. I wondered about his positive comments on the site aoubt Neat, yet at the same time having some sort of affiliation with Neat. It was simply a question that he could have answered on the site. He bombarded me with emails that I was painting a bad picture of him and that I needed to apologize on this site while all I did was make an observation and just asked what it was about. He never took the action to explain himself on this site, expected me to, then he got Neat speaker company involved who sent me a hateful message and told me point blank to apologize to him.
A lot of insecurity----I make an obervation; what are they afraid of? I wished he would have just told his side of the story, yet expects people who don't know him from Adam to clear up 'damage' I have done to him. I'm sorry if he felt I 'hurt' his career by an innocent comment, but expecting me to tell 'his' side of the story on this site simply is not reasonable or professional.
Ken is a REALLY busy guy, and sometimes not the most in-touch. Stick with it, and he'll get back to you, though you may have to send more emails/messages than would be ideal. He's an honest man, and makes a hell of a product at a price that's a steal, for what goes into it and how it performs. $200 for a shelf seems a lot, but trust me, with his production process.... it's not.
Absolutely agree with you about Ken.I was trying to get a hold of him so that I could send him payment for my order. His platforms are great and for the price he charges, it's a steal in this industry.
Hi badmanI also made a recent enquiry with Ken and despite my living in New Zealand he very surprisingly called me to tell me that my enquiry would take some time to satisfy. The reason was he has had some storm damage to his home and factory recently and advised me he was going to take a short break away while repairs are completed.
The phone conversation I had with Ken, which lasted approx half an hour gave me an impression of the man and it would back up what previous inmates have said and that he is obviously a person of honesty and integrity. Being virtually a one man operation he obviously puts a tremendous amount of time and effort into his product and it was obvious to me he needed a much earned break.
I respect his need to take the time out to sort things out and being a very satisfied owner of some of his older shelfs I am more than happy to wait until he gets back into production.
Cheers
FF
Good to hear ... but I guess not so good for Ken. It's good to hear that he just needs time to get things fixed up.
