contributors, but maybe its time for a seperate Kait-ian/Belt-ian/Clark-ian forum where things like the wondrous aural improvements wrought by special wall outlet covers and magic-dotted clocks can be discussed at length. Perhaps Wellfed can start a contribution drive for its establishment.I sympathize with inmates on Tweaks and Prop Head who don't want their forums to become the repository for these threads . I doubt if the inmates who have digital-only systems would dig it if General became infested with posts about new stylus cleaning products and methodology. Sensibly, those discussions take place on Vinyl. Likewise many of us are not tweak-o-holics and it doesn't seem too much to ask for a General forum which does NOT repeatedly get hijacked by touters of tweaks lacking a reasonable explanation for efficacy.

...to figure out who does the hijacking of these threads. If you need a hint: it's those who have an inability to stay on topic in order to express whatever it is that is troubling them so much.I'm with you in the sympathy department though, Tweakers' and Prop Head patrons shouldn't have to be the repository for the resulting bile and bluster.
As for establishing a new forum, it seems Rod M is open to the idea. Here are some ideas for a name.
Anarchy Asylum
General Chaos
Chaos Concourse
Crisis Concourse
Batman
you, Clark, Kait and other adherents can tell each other about the wonderful aural benefits of unexplained audio phenomena to your hearts' content. If I was into praying I'd be praying that new forum would open up immediately. Might I suggest the names "Fool's Paradise", "Wooden Nickel", or perhaps "Spock's Lounge" :-)
...it's simply about finding a place for threads of controversy to reside when things get out of control. If these threads were left untouched by sceptics, I'm sure they'd probably stimulate very little discussion. I'm good to go with that prospect. I'd prefer 1 pertinent response to a billion that go off-topic, or those that result in obnoxious demands for proof and general denigration. I suspect I feel the same as you about the clutter these threads represent. How about "The Dump" for an Asylum designation. I think that would somehow appease both sides of the equation. ;-)
