says Doors manager , Jeff Jampol , in a post that he made earlier today , on The Doors website .
Jeff , also , says " 20,000 boxes were produced " .
The Doors - Perception DVD-A box set was released on November 21, 2006 .
Each box contains 6 DVD-As and 6 CDs .
Less than 3 weeks to sell 120,000 Doors DVD-As .
Now , that's great !!!!

But $120!!! Yikes! For 6 DVD-A (and yes, I know it has 6 CD's too). A bit pricy even by the muisc industry standards wouldn't you say?
The original vinyl won't set you back even half that, and sound better as well.

  Warner doesn't have any of the 20,000 boxes left its warehouse , less than 3 weeks after the box went on sale .
  With regards to your comments about the original vinyl :
  Did YOU actually listen to the new DVD-As and the original vinyl ?
  Are there any outtakes on the original vinyl ?
  Any 5.1 surround on the original vinyl ?
  The only Doors vinyl I'll still play is the CD-4 Quadraphonic " The Best Of The Doors " using my CD-4 demodulator for proper quadraphonic playback .

  P.S. John , I know that you are an SACD fan . I don't see any posts over on Hi-Rez Highway about brand new , hot selling , hit SACDs . I must say that you seem to be very disappointed that The Beatles - Love DVD-A , and The Doors - Perception DVD-A box set , are achieving big success .

  If you were capable of using the forum search , you would see that I have written lots of reviews of DVD-As and DualDiscs with DVD-A , and posted them in DVD-Audiobahn .
  I have listened to all 6 DVD-As in The Doors - Perception DVD-A box set , but I have not , yet , written any reviews of them .
