Considering a used player in the $3-5k range used. Unlike some audiophiles I like strong low end (bass)performance in my system. (the kind you can feel) Considering a player(Used)that will augment the low end weight of my system. I'm currently using a Modwright Sony, DK Signature Int. and Reimer Wind River GS speakers. I don't want rolled-off highs, thinness or leaness. I'm looking for a player(one box) that provides bass weight,low-end power. Hopefully a player you're aware of that provides solid bass in more than one setup. Thanks for your suggestions.

I had the Cary CD-308 an was very impressed with its body and low frequency authority. I too hate an anemic sound. Cary is a bit dark sounding though, but it worked well in my detailed system.Sold it for a universal DVD and now I miss the full presentation I once had.
Hello 'Red',
The Accuphase DP-67 is one player that comes to mind (I've listened to extensively) when it comes to 'low end' weight. Of course , it also does everything else equally as well . Try to find one on the used market.Hope this helps..
Best,
