I've got the Premium gold kit also . Never had any trouble with it , but I did substitute Mundorf supreme silv/oil 2.2uf for 4.7uf BG coupling caps to GREAT effect . The Mundorfs are better in all respects than the BG N caps . Or if ya wanna take a step further go V-caps .Gmood1 , why would you ever want to upsample a NON-os DAC ? I can see de-jitter (Monarchy or Jisco) but upsample ? Don't you lose the good effect of the Non-os ?

JB I understand where your coming from. For some reason the DAC performs better when fed the upsampled signal. I've read some where that the dither may allow the DAC to decode better. Not sure if this is what happens..but if you try it you'll understand what I mean. It sounds crazy..I know..just try it. You still get the NOS sound..just a better NOS sound IMHO.
I've tried this with two different NOS DACs. Each time there was a significant improvement in sound.
All that really matters is that the end user likes what he hears ;~) I was just pointing out the white paper , If I read it right , it sez that a Non-os signal is less effected by jitter than an OS signal . This may be why alotta folks dig the NOS sound . But I'm just a reader not an engineer . My ears tell me that my NOS - DAC sounds better then my tube output CD player , using the same CD player as a transport .
