HowdyMany satellite receivers have digital out, but often they are TOSLink, i.e. optical instead of RCA. Does your Opus have optical inputs? There are optical to RCA converters (TOSLink to S/PDIF converters) out there, e.g. the M-Audio CO2 Digital Audio Format Converter.

There is not a TOSlink input. But it sounds like what you suggest would work. Can I find a SAT receiver with optical outs at a Circuit City or some such big box retailer? How 'bout the converter? Will the converter quality be critical?
HowdyYes most satellite receivers available in big box stores these days have TOSLink or digital RCA outputs, just look at the back before you buy it :)
The quality of the XM on Satellite is better than over the air XM but worse than, say, CD so I wouldn't worry too much about the quality of the TOSLink to RCA converter. You can find the CO2 online ( http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/audio_toslink_adapters.html ), but also often at "guitar shop" style music stores (for example American Music in the Seattle area.)
like a monarchy dip or meridian 518 , it will convert toslink to spdif and remove jitter a little
a good solution for tv digital revceiver..
