I am not into bling-bling and normally dislike gold on audio equipment, but I set myself up with a very sweet vintage system in my home-office and both the Fisher 600 receiver and Empire 398 are "golden" in appearances:
From Empire 398 I'd like to find a CD player to match the other 2 components, but can't seem to find anyone making CDPs with a gold front fascia.
Ever seen such a beast?
Thanks,
Alberto

If you don't mind buying used this unit might be of interest to you.
A LFD Mistral player has a gold face plate.
I own a Pioneer PDS-06, a beautiful machine, with a smooth as silk stable platter transport. Sounds pretty darn good too.
I would sell it to you, since I don't really need it, but it is the 240 volt version - I believe this model was only sold in Europe.
Email me for pics.
There is a nice Sonic Frontiers SFCD1 for sale on Agon right now, and the listing shows a pic. No relation to seller...yadda, yadda........
coincidentally all Japanese brands
that Empire looks perfect--just like my uncle's, except his had some rubber belt disintegrated parts in the top plate. I haven't had the time or energy to fix it, but is this your off speed deck or is that another one?

It's no Thorens/SME, but I love the way it looks and with my birthdate vintage system (i.e. a system with components as old as i am) I am not going after ultimate fidelity but that warm vintage vibe.
Here's another pic. The last-one, I promise, I know this is digital drive and not vinyl asylum. As you can see from the headshell, close up it's not in as good a shape.
From Empire 398
