1) significantly better than a Behringer SRC 2496 (my present dac)
2) able to process 48khz signal without problem
3) price under 400 USD.
I would like to improve expecially on the bass reproduction.
I would like a deeper and more powerful bass actually.Thank you very much as always,
Kind regards,
Follow Ups:
I saw a Wadia 12 Dac for £400 ($800) and a couple Meridian Dacs for about the same price on http://www.adverts.hififorsale.com , which is
a UK web site. I also searched a DE website, but found nothing but crap for €400.If you are in the US....look on Audiogon for older Wadia, Meridian, musical fidelity dacs.
But what about North Star Design ? Aren't there any used ones for sale in Italy? Wouldn't that fit your desires? I think they sound great.
Thank you for your kind reply.
I live in Italy nevertheless I often buy from Germany, a much better market for used audio equipment.
I understand that about 800 USD is the price of admission for great dacs.
Moreover I would like a dac that does not reclock.
Do the dacs always reclock ?
Thank you very much indeed.
Kind regards,
Have you looked at the Altmann Attrcation Dac?
but I also read that is mandatory to power it with a big battery.
I would like to avoid batteries, even if I feel they are very good indeed as a solution for powering low signals equipment.
Thank you and kind regards,
