Has any one tried DIYEDEN Musiland MD-10 (http://pacificvalve.us/MusilandMD10.html) yet?I have Pacificvalve modified DAC-AH but I am curious as to how this one sounds. I would appreciate if any impressions on this product.

Good luck on that AH. Mine lasted ten months before I lost a channel. I don't know of anyone who repairs in the "deep south" plus I got it from HK. So, I'm out a lousy $170 altogether.Buying for PV is good, though. They will at least repair what they sell even after warranty.
I've had one for a month or so. Great sounding little DAC. I have also owned a DIYEDEN Great March and several of the Zhaolu DAC's. The MD10 is about on par with my Zhaolu 2.5C if you are at all familiar. I definitely prefer the MD10 over the stock Great March I had as the GM, while a nice DAC, just wasn't up to this level. The MD10 is very open and detailed with a neutral character. Midrange, bass and treble is all there. I have not owned a DAC-AH but have owned an Ack! dAck 2.0 NOS DAC and the Musiland is probably more detailed and extended in more of a traditional sense, but very fluid, full and musical too. Nothing tubey here but nor is it bright or etched either, at least in my system and to my ears. For the money it's hard to fault but I am sure compared to expensive digital you would start to find things but it's a heck of a bargain at this price! The USB input works flawlessly and the LCD screen is pretty darn neat. It includes a scrolling menu of options for digital input and analog output options, bit depth and a couple other things. The unit does use a digital volume on it's analog output as well as the mini headphone output (which allows one to use the MD10 as a preamp) and it must be done quite well as I hear no noise, clicks or pops and don't find there to be any audible degradation. You can set the volume to 0dB of course with no attenuation and then the volume control is moot. All in all a very nice little DAC. I see it will be carried locally in the states by iFiAudio.com as soon as they get stock.
Thank you, SeanH.
