I want to change from 220V to 110V, is it possible? Is it just turning a switch inside the player and changing the fuse? Or is it harder than that?(I already have a PS Audio Power Plant with 110V output and Nordost power cables, I don't want to buy the 220V versions for more than I paid for my Cary!
My distributor wouldn't change it when I ordered it from them, and I wasn't allowed to order the Cary from another distributor either, I tried.)
Follow Ups:
I would contact Cary. I can't really tell from the photos if the transformer taps and empty fuse clips can be altered to change the input voltage or if the transformers need to be changed. There are three significant power transformers inside this player.... I believe one is for the digital circuitry, one for analog, and another for vacuum tube high voltage. A couple of them are under a metal support which holds a circuit board. You have to look under that support. Please let us know what you find out from Cary.
Call Cary on Tuesday. I am sure that they will help you.
I e-mailed them 3-4 days ago (sunday) and haven't received a reply yet, is this normal? It seems like they are ignoring me since I tried to buy from another distributor (the other distributor started ignoring my e-mails too; no reply for a month). I don't feel comfortable paying $5000 + $7000 for this CD player. I live in Sweden BTW.
