the battery supply, taking up little room so that the whole thing is very portable along with my portable headphone amp. The voltage to the dac also needs to be increased to almost 6 volts from the stock 4.9 to really sing.I can plug in a wall wart, charge the batteries and listen to the unit at the same time or just use the wall wart.

How did you change the voltage to the DAC from 4.9 to 6V? Please tell me the parts swapout and locations. Also I would like to know more about the extra diode that you have implemented (is this what adjusted the voltage?). A picture often says a thousand words too.
Please e-mail me the details, if you would. I would love to try them out.
Enjoy,
Bob
I don't know how to post more than one image per post and no one answered my query as to how to do it.ja

the bottom diode is the added diode, which leaves two places empty.ja
