Does anyone have this player yet? How does it compare to the 303/300?

It's on the Cary web site, but is not released. My order is in, I'll keep y'all posted when it arrives.
Enjoy the music.
Hard to imagine much improvement on the old 306, which is a gem.I would seriously investigate the Cary SACD but for the fact that, at the Monteal Show, the new 303 on display took F-O-R-E-V-E-R to scan the disk and prepare to play. I'm all for sound quality, but it really pisses me off to have to wait and wait and wait just for a cd player to figure out what it's playing.
After all, there's always vinyl for that sort of idiosyncratic stuff!
The CD player is reading the disc and creating a memory buffer so when you start play, it has already loaded some data. This processes reduces data errors and jitter. Well worth the wait in my ever so humble opinion.
Enjoy the music.
I agree, Abe ... what's 10 seconds? Just enough time to find a comfortable position and swirl the Merlot ......
True. The new 303/300 takes just a bit longer than others but it is well worth it for the reduced jitter. If you want a player that takes forever, try some of the Sony SACD machines.
Hi Abe,Seems the 306 will have Sony's SCD-1's mechanism...if that's the case, then loading times maybe be another PIA..:)
The player is not out yet. Word is maybe 30 days or so. Maybe a bit more. I am told that is blows away the 303/300.
I hope it's better than the 303...I bought a 303/300 recently to replace my Sony XA777ES and it couldn't hold a candle to the Sony. Hopefully the 306 will be the winner.
The 303 blows me away! :) Sigh....I may have to buy the SACD and move the 303 to the bedroom if it really is another quantum leap....
