is that it NEVER rains in California, - or was that southern california? Or was that except when you're on a bicycle?:-)

It's happening all of the time.
Follow Ups:
Though Hammond is well-known for "It Never Rains In Southern California," he would go on to co-write a few pop songs, including Starship's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now," Chicago's "I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love," and Willie Nelson's "To All The Girls I've Loved Before."Seems like many SoCal people are going up to Mammoth and Big Bear this weekend.
Albert Hammond did not write that A-Mazing theme song, for it was Neal Hefti. I want a bike that has flames that shoot out the back, - and I'm not talking about the rider post-so-cal-tacos, - to ride to Mammoth. What's up there? Skiing?

Yeah, apparently, my SoCal friends are heading to Mammoth and Big Bear for skiing and snowboarding, though the snowpack is light.I need a flamin' bike, just so I can weave through SF's streets unscathed. I'll be in the City this weekend for my dad's birthday. But no shopping for records :-( It always ticks me off, when I get off at Octavia and Market, and pass by the Grooves record store.
It's going to be beautiful up there, - they are going to get snow. I know this because it's going to be 39 degrees and raining when I get on my bike at 5 bloody :45 AM tomorrow... :-) :-)Last time I was in Grooves, the old lady who works there took me by the hand and led me over towards the corner: "Let me show you all of the wonderful new Frank Sinatra records we have!!""
LOL.... I didn't have the heart to tell her: "fouhgetaboudit"
Get a bike, but remember, no bikes with gears are allowed within the city limits: my Berardi fixie, (with pictures of my band in the spokes), should be on the road soon, - and pictures will happen over in Central!! :-)
Have fun with your dad in SF, but I'm sure you'll do that!!
Cheers, mustang of the sea.....

.........You dont like Frank Sinatra? What's not to like? You have driven me to another drink
Smile
Guess I'll have one as well.
Frank Sinatra, LOL! Would it have made you feel better if she had suggested Barry White or Al Green? If she had said, "Check out the new Patricia Barber/Diana Krall/Jennifer Warnes records," the audiophiles would have been there in droves.
Do you ever go to Mitchell's ice cream? You can indulge yourself there, then burn off the calories by whizzing up Valencia. When you go by Dolores Park, you'll have to pedal faster, in order to escape from all the dogs chasing you.
Dude.....Tom Jones.
You see, if she would've walked me over to the Tom Jones section, - well, - goodness only knows what I would've done... :-)
But, then, who could resist THE MAN who is TOM JONES?
Yeah, - Mitchell's Ice cream is kind of in my hood. Haven't had their rum raisin in a little while. And, - it's been a long time since I've had their avocado, and even longer since I've had their Dorian!! :-) :-)
There's a new Ice Cream shop though, - Bi-Rite Creamery. Don't know if you've been to Bi-Rite grocery on 18th, - but it's so upscale, - you need a have a special "I-overpay-for-fruit" resume just to get in the door. (With Martha Stewart's Tartine, and the newly expanded Del Fina, and Bi-Rite, it's gettin' so a fella has to walk around with $1,123 in his pocket in his own hood).
Dogs love Sordidman, I'm one of their kind, - we roll around in the discards of Dolores Park together: but I can understand why they would chase a Seahorse.....

I am aghast! No airline that I know of will even allow a durian on any aircraft.Signed,

But not too far away from Dorian Gray....:-)
Come up to me with your 'what did you say?' and I'll tell you straight in the eye: DIY

Until Aiden learns to drink out of a bottle or sippy cup, we can't go very far. He chews on the nozzle, rather than sucking to get the liquid out. When he does get some liquid, he often chokes on it, 'cuz it goes to his lungs, rather than to his stomach. However, Aiden does like looking at the Simaudio P-8's red display. If I carry him up to it, he'll open his little hand, and feel the plastic. When Sim's designers were working on the Evolution series' aesthetics, I bet they didn't know they had a market for babies fingering the display :-)
Pretty soon, Bruce Kendall is going to have to roll up his Mar07 Stereophile, and use it to swat the mosquitos!
When I really want to keep an issue, it only stands to reason that nature would send forces to keep me from doing so. There was no other reason for the clouds to open up downtown yesterday.
Way off topic, but I've had to take the 2 from Palmdale to LA quite a bit lately. This route is the Angeles Crest and Angeles Forest Highways, and consists of radical inclines and switchbacks. I was driving it the other day and noticed two cyclists huffing their butts off, 30 miles away from a functioning water spout. My thought as I looked at them while shaking my head? "Sordidman would probably love to be doing that."
from water, - (unless it was really rancid tasting, desert-puddle-water), - then I'd really want to be doing that.....:-)
