No time to reread the opinions of those who's are held higher than non reviewers. Until challenged. Then the fangs really show.
It's okay to post negative thoughts here about Clever Clocks and other bizarre tweaks (because they make no sound of their own, and are much too small to effect room acoustics, so are very unlilkely to be audible.But anyone writing a review for publication should give the component or tweak a blind listening test BEFORE trashing them.
Failing to do that is not fair to the product, and although I've probably never agreed with Clark before, trashing any tweak without listening is just as bad as a golden ear audiophile trashing a Pioneer receiver without ever listening to it.
That's just not Kosher.But, on the other hand, a sighted review of a bizarre tweak (or any other audio component except transducers such as speakers, headphones and phono cartridges that sound different to all audiophiles) could be a meaningless review because anyone can imagine hearing anything in a sighted review (that a person with less of an imagination would not hear).

The audiophile community could do with a large dose of Scottish Common Sense. If you were to read of a product called the “sonic turd,” that purported to enhance the imaging characteristics of a stereo system by releasing methane into the atmosphere of one’s listening room, would you really have to audition the product before concluding that the manufacturer was full of shit? Subjectivists are fond of insisting that there are “no absolutes,” but in doing so they unwittingly create their own absolute, the very thing they so passionately wish to deny. :)
Brilliant intelligent clever sonic turds would sell.
Plain ole' sonic turds are for losers and cheapskates.
Methane WOULD affect the listening experience, IMHO.

By the way, 'Brilliant Pebbles' aren't pebbles, or even crushed common rocks. You should at least know what you are criticizing.
1) '"X rays are a hoax!"'Not to anyone familiar with modern medicine, and I’m unaware of *any* rational Scot who believes otherwise. If you’re suggesting that science is capable of shedding new light on various subjects then we would agree. (That’s merely stating the obvious.) But I’ll wager a case of Lafite that all the science in the world will never give universal credibility to many of the snake oil products hyped at this venue. :)
