bjh, keep trying to become the next Corey Greenburg. When you resolve that speaker situation, maybe your opinion will matter to those of us who know better.

you must have notice that old Aczel has been talked about quite a bit here lately, and with his new free WebZine many have now seen for themselves examples of that crackpot's thinking.I had a look myself and found much to confirm what I had only suspected from the odd TAC review I'd encountered, namely that in some cased he doesn't bother to listen to electronic components.
In particular it seems pretty clear if a power amplifier exhibits sufficiently good measurements to warrant being designated "well designed" there's no need to listen since for such amplifiers he finds the notion of "amplifier sound" to be ludicrous in the extreme.
So Dan, when Aczel reviewed your amplifiers what were his comments on the sound?

Still haven't gotten an answer from you on this.

the slide to failure and the subsequent stupor of resentment and bitterness you which you are now notorious?... gotta admit something like that, brought down by crazy Aczel, would be tough to live with!
NO Way, without that review the business would never have gotten off the ground. You're so silly, and you understand so little.
So are you ever going to address the real question below. Enquiring minds want to know!d.b.
Didn't Aczel in the review complain of high harmonic distortion and slewing induced distortion, actually in reference to the distortion you said Aczel "... proceeded to howl about how bad it was" (see link). And yet you credit that review with being responsible for getting your business of the ground. Ah well, that's audio for ya', one mystery after another.

There they use bombs to get businesses off the ground. Similar results. :)
