I used the bizarre "advice" from non-critic Sprey because I didn't want to single out any real critic for my example, but I did want to show one example of bizzare audio claims.

You picked the best example I've ever encountered. I once had a "discussion" with someone on this very forum that believed in Pierre's claims, particularly about the $100 speaker with good wire vs...". Sure it could be true in an odd circumstance but back at the time it was first written, the search for the best $2K speaker was a quest of mine and not one of them that I listened to could have been bettered by a $100 speaker with good wire. I would challenge anyone to show me where it would happen more than once out of 1000 speakers.
And you tried and tried?
Having heard my share of $100 speakers, I didn't try for long!

Really didn't intend to use it but it was simpler than inserting and re-inserting different cables.
