"Talked to MIT, and they are quite piggish. Will not disclose info on just simply where the wires hook up. Say to send them in and be charged $48 per termination."Since MIT uses proprietary termination techniques, it does not surprise me in the least that they will not disclose that info.
"I would like to fix them up and sell on ebay. got to get some of this extra stuff outa here.."
If U want to get anything for them on E-bay, send them back to CVTL and have them reterminate the cables and disclose this info on the E-bay description. Or sell them as is and start the bidding at $10.00 as that is about all they will be worth.
Another option is to contact Fatwyre as they buy used cables but U would have to get the cables reterminated by CVTL first.
Not trying to be rude but just telling it like it is.

I dont see a problem at all with re-terminating them with whatever connectors I would like to use as long as they are connected properly. I would certainly mention that I have reterminated them on the listing. Im not about to pay $200 to a company who wont even give info on such a basic request. One obviously could look at any intact cable and determine proper placement of the blue & red wire. I think their pricing is a total rip off. The cables would be lucky to break $100 on ebay even if they were re-terminated by MIT. It would seem that you assumed that I just would fix them and sell them without saying anything. Not my style. And actually thats the way I received them---with the - & + attached but the pole wires snipped off. Im still asking if someone might in fact know where the blue and red attach. It does sound like you may have a vested interest in this. Not trying to be rude ,, but it really does.
Good luck with your retermination of the cables and potential sale :-)
The red wire is positive and the blue is negative.Simply terminate the red wire with the white wire and the blue wire with the black wire.If my memory serves me correct the red and blue conductors are thin solid core wires. It's really not much about it's simple construction.
"If it sounds good it is good!"
".It's really not much about it's simple construction."I would surmise that your most likely correct BUT I have a pair of MH-750 plus' where both the Positive and Negative bundles have Red solid core wires wrapped in with the each Positive/Negative bundle but only the Positive Red wire is connected to the spade connectors and the Negative Red connector is cut off where the outer shieth ends.
This termination is from the factory and one cannot just assume that all wires are utilized. That is why I suggested the OP send his cables back to CVTL for proper termination.
Yes it seems odd that the Neg. solid wire is not connected and when I sent the cables back to be reterminated, they would have corrected this if it was not to the original design but it is still cut off.
Of course, I can't speak to the MIT 4's termination BUT one should use caution with proprietary cables :-)
Cheers,
Thanks very much for that. It had to be one way or the other. This is the info that MIT was just so invested in keeping a secret. Only interested in how much money they can make and not customer service. Needless to say I would never purchase any of their products again.
