No sense in trying to get something when I don't deserve it. Maybe it's time for a change anyway. I originally got them years ago to go with a rather hot sounding Adcom setup. They match up nicely with the Adcom but the Bryston SST and the other gear I have now is so much smoother that I don't need the warmer sounding cable.
I still have the Adcom but found the weak link to be the Adcom preamp which now serves only as a tuner. The Adcom amp is sitting in my basement "lab" as my wife calls it.
I hooked it up with an IPOD, of all things, and a friend's set of Ohm Walsh II's that I am bringing back to life and it was not bad.
If you have any doubts about the integrity of the cable, consider the value of the amp to which you are likely to attach the cable, and not the value of the cable before it was damaged.
I will probably "operate" as soon as I find some time.
Bill
