Hi, guys,I have just bought 100' spool of following cable on Audiogon.
There are some aspects I don't like, such as stranded wires for conductor and thick dielectrics. Then again, I'm not an electrical engineer or physician.
Can you guys offer me some opinions?
Follow Ups:
Well, in all honesty, I think you have some nice wire, but not particularly special.
Do a search on the subject of stranded versus solid core, silver versus copper, etc.As to it's use:
Being 14AWG, I think it's a bit too thick for interconnects.Since it is a shielded twisted pair, it COULD be used as a power cord for digital components, (disclaimer!) PROVIDED it is rated for power use.
It could also perhaps be used as a speaker cable using the Jon Risch "Belden 89259" recipe. Check out the "Workshop" section in audiyo.com for ideas.

Sorry, the following statement I made is incorrect:"It could also perhaps be used as a speaker cable using the Jon Risch "Belden 89259" recipe. Check out the "Workshop" section in audiyo.com for ideas."
That recipe is for coax, your cable is twisted pair.
