I'll show you if you get a chance to stop by!Hey Robert...
I have all speltz cabling and have owned the Mapleshade stuff.
I should have clarified my comments.I tried both the Speltz Anti ICs and Anti cables, but have not used the Mapleshade speaker cables. I was only commenting on the Mapleshade ribbon ICs, which I consider to be outstanding, especially for the money.
The Mapleshade ICs are not for everyone though. They break very easily and require a good break in and a lot of TLC to get good results. My cats have broken mine 3 times. Great sound for reasonable $, but with compromises.
For speaker cables, I have used:
Xindak FS-2
Highwire
Goertz MI-3
Cardas Hex 5Cauditioned many others
I'd have to say those cables are not very good. Just how in the heck do cats "break" a cable? Either you have some VERY large cats who play behind your equipment, or those cables are flimsy pieces of junk. I daresay, I could pull all my ICs out of my system, run them over with my car's tires, put them back in the system and they'd work just fine. If your cats are able to break a cable, there is something terribly wrong with the basic construction of that cable..."The Mapleshade ICs are not for everyone though. The cables are a very thin copper ribbon and are easily torn. Sound quality and practicallity do not always go hand in hand. I haven't run into a similarly priced product which offers the sound quality and is still durable.I'm not too concerned about being able to run over my cables with a car.
Both use thin insulation and are "single strand" copper (the anti-cable solid core), but the Mapleshade is:"... handmade from silver-plated, single strand, high-purity copper wire drawn and heat-treated to our spec. Our cable is coated with ultra-thin (less than .0002”) low loss insulation, twisted into a super-tight, field-canceling helix."
I've used and enjoyed both in the past, the Mapleshade was more satisfactory in my system.
