I just saw your post and I just placed one with a similar question, although I've had the LAT IC-200 Mark IIs in my system for nearly five years. As has been said, very good value for the money. A warm sounding interconnect, yet detailed. Depending upon your system, they might sound a tad bloated on the bottom end if matched with the improper equipment.
The new LATs are significantly better, I upgraded to the newest series in digital (DI-30 Signature), I/Cs (IC-300) and speaker (SS-1000 MkII) 18 months ago. I have written a review of the SS-1000 MkII over on audiogon, I can recommend their cables highly. As they give a 45-day-trial, you have nothing to loose. A comparison with your highly regarded Audience would be interesting indeed. who is the dealer switching to LAT, then?

I have been very satisfied with LAT products and I am still using their IC200 mkII interconnects, TA-200 phono cable, AC-2 power cords, DI-20 mkII digital ic and SS-1000D BI-WIRE speaker cables at the moment though I always substitute other cables into my system as well. I haven’t tried their latest IC-300 or DI-30digital ic so I don’t know how much improvements they‘ve brought over the IC-200 and DI-20.
All their cables sound excellent, and in my opinion they are absolute bargains.
