When you say 2 weeks to adapt, do you mean that it takes two after you intsall it in a given spot to sound its best. I have only had this one in place for 3 days. I was thinking about taking it out and putting it in a small system and running it for 50 or 100 hours to burn in and then listening to it again. What do you think.
Follow Ups:
I would leave it in the sources that you plan to use so the two sources are accepting the charged state.Don't sweat this break in as you'll notice improvents with in two weeks.
What improvements did you notice.
I don't know as that was 8 months ago.In other words I can't talk about the bla, bla, bla about this and that and the other thing. For me it was a set it forget it interconnect.I suspose you have to take your whole system into account and reap the benifits of each choice you make. With that said I'm sure the Colorado would be a good choice as AQ is always improving on the interconnects every few years.
I have installed the new 72V DBS packs for my Panther 1mtr RCA interconnect and I'm very pleased with the results of the upgrade from my 36V DBS packs. The new 72V DBS results in a more open three dimensional transparent sound with better transients over the whole frequency range. The sound is now rich, full, more air, a danker background and you here more subtle details. It's like I have bought a new interconnect. With the DBS upgrade you will get probally 95% or more of the performance of the Colorado IC.
I have the Cheetah and Jaguar with 36v DBS and they sound great as is.I can't see how a 72v DBS would improve on an already great sounding IC.
