I have found that other cords, particularly the Shunyata Python and the VH Audio Airsine gave a better soundstage and were more resolving than the Audience. However, the Audience has a sense of impact and immediacy that is lacking in the others. The PS Audio Statement SC and Premeir SC sounded a bit veiled. I am using the Airsines and PS Audio cords elsewhere in my system to excellent effect, but still feel there is something better out there for the amp.

I consider soundstage or 'recording venue ambience' recreation as a measure of high-fidelity. You might prefer other power cables, but the bass might be suspect in this case. Check whether you get 'heavy' bass or 'tight/tuneful/agile' bass. But still if you prefer other cables, it is your preference :-)
I like to shoot for complete high-fidelity and always use neutral components all thru the chain. But then again, there are different approaches to the audiophile nirvana.
Nice post. I also find certain audiophile chords provide lift in a treble region, creating the illusion of increased detail at the expense of neutral, natural sound. The seductiveness of the perceived hyper deteil gives way to grain and lack of engagement. The more neutral chords will flesh out the mids and extend into the bass regin, creating a smoother more coherent image. To the original poster, I have achieved very smooth neutral presentation with Ear to Ear Black and Red power chords using the less expensive Marinco connectors. After extensive listening, I found their presentation more neutral than the VHAudio Flavor 4's w/ Furutech connectors they replaced.
Use the black chords on amps and preamps, and the red chords on digital source components. Money back guarantee for a month plus a trade up policy. I have no affilliation, just a very happy customer...

I read in your system details that U are using a PS Audio Ultimate Outlet. Nice system by the way, pretty much mirrors mine but with a different approach :-)Having gone down this road and having learned many valuable lessons along the way, may I ask what outlet(s) U have powering your system?
What is the chain from outlet to P600?I, and others, have found that the outlet(s) that supply power to ones system can have a very profound effect on a systems voicing and resolution capabilities.
Cheers,
I have actually moved the P600 to my HT system. It has been replaced with the new Premier Power Plant, which is an awesome piece and a large step up from the P600. The outlet is a Furutech Copper. The cord between the wall and the PPP is a PS Audio Premier SC. I am then running a VH Audio Airsine with Copper Wattgates to the CDP, a PS Audio Statement SC to the Steelhead and a Harmonic Technology AC-11 to the turntable motor. This setup seems to work very well for my sources.Subs are using a VH Audio Airsine from wall (stock outlet) to PS Audio UPC 200 and to fixed cords from there.
On the amp side, I currently have a PS Audio Statement SC from the wall (same Furutech outlet) to a PS Audio Duet and the Audience PowerChord to the amp. I am thinking about trying a Purist cable to replace the Audience...any thoughts on their products?
"I have actually moved the P600 to my HT system."I did the exact same thing with my P600! Can't beat the picture clarity when powered by the P600 :-)
Looking over your system description, the only item I notice that might be of concern is the stock outlet feeding your subs/UPC 200.
Might want to replace that with a Furutech.I have found that the quality of power to the subs is just as or more important to the system voicing/synergy as power cables to the amp.
I have not heard any of the Purist cables but I would start with replacing the stock outlet and go from there.
Cheers,
