Seen their add in the latest TAS and was wondering if anybody has heard them.I inquired about the possibility of the new Tesla line being implemented in their REL spec cables but they will not :-(
Cheers,
Follow Ups:
I've had the Accelerator IC's in my system for 2 days now. Kenster, I too have been using AQ DBS IC's...nice but not even close to the Synergistics -- not even close! Everything said above is EXACTLY how I would describe the Teslas:- "warmth, but add a level of detail": YUP.
- "the best bass of any that I’ve heard, but the Teslas have a tighter bass with more impact than Designers’ Reference": CONCUR.
- "clear and fast with delicate highs, super tight bass, NON-fatiguing at all": DEFINITELY.Here are a few thoughts of my own: Ginormous soundstage, very precise and effortless presentaion. Best sound I've had out of my PASS LABS' gear. BTW: these guys also make KILLER -- I said KILLER powercords. Try an active cord ($600 ish) and be prepared to be blown away. It made my PASS X250 sound like an amp that cost 3 x as much. Bottom line: If you have as much dough tied up in your system as the rest of us do I'd check into some of these babies...sure glad I did. Just like the other guy, I've have no affiliation w/ Synergistic....just trying to forward my experiences to a fellow inmate.
I posted the following last week on the Audiogon Cables forum, but somehow it got lost in the shuffle. I'll repost it here if it's OK with the moderator.I have gone through two upgrades to my two pairs of (formerly) Designers’ Reference interconnects: first from X to X2, and now to Tesla Apex.
First of all, it’s great to be able to upgrade at the factory, and not have to worry about selling the old and buying new. I’ve had the cables back in my system for close to two weeks, and I’m very pleased.
Synergistic interconnects have always had a warm sound that I appreciate. The Tesla cables retain the characteristic warmth, but add a level of detail that is ear-opening. Wait until you hear cymbals with these: the strike of the drumstick or brush, the actual “tone” of the cymbal, and the decay. Great stuff! And all of this is done without adding any brightness or “hyper-detailed” sound that some cables – especially silver – exhibit.
I have always thought that Synergistic interconnects had the best bass of any that I’ve heard, but the Teslas have a tighter bass with more impact than Designers’ Reference. And imaging seems to be improved as well.
Yes, it’s only been two weeks, but I haven’t yet found anything about these cables that I don’t like. They are clearly better than the already excellent Designers’ Reference, which I chose after listening to a number of other top-of-the-line brands. I have no connection to Synergistic Research – just a satisfied customer!
Thanx for the description of the new cables. While I'm currently using AudioQuest DBS IC's, I will keep the SR IC's in mind.
Thanx again,
.....I have a REL SPEC Resolution Reference cable coming for audition.Currently using the Phase ll's on my REL subs so we will see if the RR is worth it.
Cheers,
I received demo Tesla Vortex XLR's and Tesla Accelerator speaker cables from The Cable Company last weekend. I have been looking for cables for over a year. I am done looking, I placed my order yesterday. These cables are UNBELIVABLE I never heard a cable this good. I don’t usually listen to my system at low volumes but now I can because it is so clear and fast with delicate highs, super tight bass, NON-fatiguing at all. I NEVER heard my system so clear. It's like I have a NEW system! WOW! I am done auditioning cables for a long while and now I can listen to the music. GREAT JOB Synergistic!
Heard them @ CES and loved them. The A-B testing they were demo-ing in the Thiel room was very convincing. The improvement brought about by the 'plugged in shields' yielded better depth, dynamics, soundstaging and imaging, and better bass. It was much more analogue like in a positive way. I predict a great success for SR.
I just got off the Synergistic Research web site so it seems the new site is up. Some pretty interesting stuff on that one. Lot's of reference to Nikola Tesla and something called "Quantum Tunneling." They don't go into too much detail on this except to say that it radically transforms cables and they'll perform this on early adaptor's Tesla cables for free (standard on current Tesla cables). Also they have a program that allows you to try the cables even if you don't have a Synergistic Research dealer. Pretty aggressive stuff so they at least must believe in it.I think I'll give it a try.
