I soldered one of these some time ago. I feel for you - it was probably one of the hardest soldering jobs I ever did. The other pain part was the tiny set screw that you need to tighten when putting the casing back together. As for the configuration, I had another phono cable lying around and just used a voltmeter to see which pins were L/R and which were +/-. Unfortunately I don't remember which was which now, but perhaps you could do the same.
Good luck,
Bob

......do U have something to hold the connector while you solder? An item such as the "helping hands" can really help out when soldering small/precise connections.
Cheers,
is this what you need?
geez, the pin so small cant get the solder to fall in with wire and pops out.... i am lame i guess.and i take it that in the diagram right - would be neutral and right positive be to the center pin of rca which is hot..... stupid questions but i want to be careful... thx for advice and help!
> > geez, the pin so small cant get the solder to fall in with wire and pops out. < <The trick I learned is to fill the pin "cup" with solder first, then dunk the wire into it. Works every time.
That's exactly how I do it. But I first tin the wire end also.
but i plan to soon. although, i have been enamoured of the idea of forgoing to din plug alltogether and just going from the cart pins directly to the preamp. kind of like externall wiring the tonearm... once i figure out how to do this without messing up the movement.
